Booking Details

This document explains the "Booking Details" page, which provides a comprehensive interface for managing all aspects of a single booking. The information is organized into four main tabs for clarity.

Key Features​

  • Tabbed Navigation: Easily switch between different sections of the booking:

    • General: Core booking and guest details.
    • Payments: All financial information and transactions.
    • Check-in: Guest verification and document approval.
    • Logs: A complete history of all actions taken on the booking.
  • General Tab:

    • Guest Information: Displays the guest's name, phone, and email, with a direct link to their full profile.
    • Booking Source: Shows the platform where the booking originated (e.g., Airbnb, Booking.com).
    • Editable Notes: A section to add or update important notes about the booking.
    • Separate Edit: An accordion to view and modify the price and date for each night of the stay individually.
  • Payments Tab:

    • Financial Overview: A summary of all charges, including booking fees, services, and expenses.
    • Payment Status: A color-coded indicator shows if the booking is Fully Paid (Green), Unpaid (Red), or Overpaid (Yellow).
    • Transaction Buttons: Quick-access buttons to add a new + Payment or + Expense.
  • Check-in Tab:

    • Verification Dashboard: An overview of the guest's check-in status, including details, documents, and deposits.
    • Approval Workflow: Allows staff to review and approve/decline submitted documents and guest information.
  • Logs Tab:

    • Activity Timeline: A chronological list of every change made to the booking, showing who did what and when.

How to Use​

  1. Navigate the Booking: Use the tabs at the top ("General", "Payments", "Check-in", "Logs") to move between different sections.
  2. Update Booking Info: In the "General" tab, click "Edit" to add notes or expand "Separate Edit" to change daily rates.
  3. Manage Finances: Go to the "Payments" tab to see the outstanding balance and use the + Payment or + Expense buttons to record new transactions.
  4. Handle Check-ins: Use the "Check-in" tab to review and approve guest documents to prepare for their arrival.
  5. Review History: Click the "Logs" tab to see a full audit trail of every update made to the booking.
